Welcome to Unified Chiropractic Association Of Oklahoma!
As you may already be aware, the 2013 bill containing proposed rules changes carried by OCA for the Oklahoma Board of Chiropractic Examiner's was passed by the legislative "rules" committee and signed by the Governor this last session. It amended a few of the Board's fees and penalties, gave the Board's Executive Director and staff Investigator authority to write and serve citations and also established the steps the DC and CA must take for CA Certification; including application, hours of training (12), examination, bi-anual re-certification and fees for each. You can peruse the CA rules as well as all other 140:1 - 140: 30 Chapters on the OBCE website. However, the Board of Examiners wants the profession to be aware that its education committee must still come to an agreement on the details pertaining to the course curriculum and examination.
The Board members and their Executive Director, Beth Carter, request that you please hold off on your phone calls and patiently await the final decision on those details, at which time she will not only post them on the OBCE website, but notify all the associations. The UCA will immediately e-blast all DC's regarding that information posted to both the Board's and UCA's websites (Oklahoma Chiropractic.org). Beth has requested the associations to communicate her present posting on the Board’s website: http://www.ok.gov/chiropracticboard/
The UCA anticipates that all will be in place in the near future and Beth will be able to bring those attending the UCA's proposed November 16th, 17th CE seminar up to speed.
Yours for Chiropractic and Chiropractic Physicians,
Tom Derstine, D.C.
UCA Executive Director
